Perks of the program:

- Hourly pay between 9$ and 14$ an hour

- Average of 35hrs per week

- Arranged shared accommodation for about 350$ monthly

- 12 to 18-month training visa + 30-day travel grace period


PROGRAM DESCRIPTION


              The J1 career training program in the U.S. provides young professionals of the Hospitality and Culinary Industries from around the world with the opportunity to gain invaluable work-based training experience in an English speaking environment and are designed to match the workers' career paths. Eligibilities are based on prior work experience and programs designed as to enhance the participants' skills, increase their real-world experience, assist them both in becoming more competitive in the work-force market and in becoming great assets for future employers - while HAVE FUN in the U.S. doing it! The career training program provides for legally paid employment in the U.S. for a period of 12-month, with one additional month permitted to travel around the country.


             We, at RMC, arrange for these long-term training placement collaborating with Hotel, Resort, Casino & Restaurant host company partners throughout the U.S. and with department of States designated Visa Sponsors, all in order to find and confirm placement options that will match and further trainees' knowledge and skills from the U.S. Culinary and Hospitality industries. We, specialize with arranging Culinary Arts and Food Service Hospitality training placements, most of the time with Asian Fusion Cuisine Restaurants, Casinos, Hotels and resorts or simply with large American Restaurant chains.


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS


The J1 Career Training program is offered to candidates 34 years of age and younger who:


• Have a professional post-secondary diploma or University Degree in a field related with ones' career path and the proposed training program option + one (1) year of work experience out of the U.S. and in the very same industry;


OR - 


• Have a general high school diploma (12th grade), or a University Degree majoring in a field which is not related with the proposed training + a total of five (5) years work experience out of the U.S. and in the very same industry and field as the proposed training placement;


AND - 


• Speak conversational English

• Be mature and able to live on his/her own

• Have prior International Travel, Study and/or Work experience

• Be able to commit to a full 12-month stay in the U.S.

• Be hard working, motivated, and disciplined 

• Be able to process of U.S. visa application on his/her own

• Have the financial to sustain his/her-self in the U.S. and cover the program expenditure

• Have all intention to return home or to his/her country of residency following the completion of the proposed program in the U.S.

Eligibilities are based on prior studies and programs designed as to enhance the participants' skills, increase their real-world experience, assist them both in completing studies and in becoming great assets for future employers - while HAVE FUN in the U.S. doing it! The internship program provides for legally paid employment in the U.S. for a period of 12-month, with one additional month permitted to travel around the country.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS


The J1 internship program is offered to candidates 34 years of age and younger who are either 3rd or 4th year University Students (enrolled) and who have graduated within 364 days.


Our Hospitality programs are offered to people having

post-secondary studies (no vocational schools accepted),

in one of the following subject:


- Hospitality & Tourism Management

- Restaurant & Hotel Management

- Culinary Arts

- Food Technology & Nutrition

- Home Economics
